Board-Certified Allergist & Immunologist
Fellow, American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology
Dr. Meng (Marcus) Chen is a Houston native in every sense of the word. He grew up in the city, went to school here, and ultimately chose to come back home to serve the community he knows best. Before becoming one of the Houston area’s most credentialed allergist-immunologists, he was a student at Clements High School in Sugar Land — the same part of Greater Houston where many of his patients live today. That local foundation isn’t just biography; it shapes how he practices.
Dr. Chen understands the specific allergen landscape of Southeast Texas — the cedar and ragweed seasons, the humidity-driven mold counts — and the way Houston’s sprawling geography means patients need a doctor who shows up across multiple locations to meet them where they are.

He is particularly experienced with allergen immunotherapy — both traditional allergy shots and sublingual options — and has direct hands-on research experience with biologic therapies like Xolair. He sees patients at SWAAA’s Sugar Land, West Houston (Katy/Cinco Ranch), and Midtown clinic locations. He is fluent in English, Mandarin Chinese, and French, and is actively developing his Spanish — a meaningful asset in a city as multilingual as Houston.
