Meet Our Team
Our Mission
We offer the full spectrum of allergy testing: environmental skin prick testing, food allergy testing with supervised oral food challenges, drug allergy testing including penicillin de-labeling, venom testing for severe stinging-insect reactions, and patch testing for contact dermatitis. Most testing is completed in one visit, with results reviewed and explained the same day. For long-term, disease-modifying relief, we provide customized allergen immunotherapy — both traditional allergy shots (subcutaneous immunotherapy) and sublingual options — targeting the specific oaks, elms, ashes, Bermuda and Bahia grasses, ragweed, pigweed, and molds that dominate Cinco Ranch and West Houston allergen profiles.
Asthma care is a cornerstone of our practice for Katy ISD families. The combination of humidity, high pollen, ozone, and dust from the still-developing edges of the Cinco Ranch and Cross Creek Ranch corridors makes uncontrolled asthma a real problem — especially for student-athletes in football, soccer, cross country, and cheer. We use objective in-office testing (spirometry, FeNO, bronchodilator response) to confirm asthma and choose the right controller therapy rather than escalating medications by guess. For patients with severe, eosinophilic, or biologic-eligible asthma — or co-existing nasal polyps, eczema, or chronic urticaria — we provide on-site Dupixent, Xolair, Nucala, Fasenra, Tezspire, and Cinqair with our nursing team managing the full prior authorization process.

Common Questions
Spring (mid-February through May) is dominated by oak, elm, ash, and pecan pollen and is typically the worst season for most Katy-area patients. Summer brings heavy Bermuda and Bahia grass pollen. Fall (August through October) is ragweed and pigweed season. Winter brings mountain cedar drifting in from Central Texas. Mold and dust mite exposure stay elevated year-round due to humidity.
Yes. We see a large number of Katy ISD student-athletes for exercise-induced asthma, exercise-induced laryngeal obstruction (a common asthma mimic that doesn’t respond to inhalers), and exercise-related allergies. We perform objective testing and create a plan that allows safe, full participation in sports.
Yes — pediatric food allergy is one of our core areas. We offer skin testing, blood testing, supervised oral food challenges, and oral immunotherapy (OIT) for appropriate patients. We also help families avoid unnecessary food avoidance, which can be just as harmful as missing a true allergy.
For the right patient, yes. Allergy shots are the only treatment proven to modify the underlying allergic disease, and many patients experience long-lasting benefit that continues after the 3- to 5-year course is completed. They are particularly worthwhile for patients with significant symptoms despite medication, multiple allergic triggers, asthma driven by allergens, or a desire to reduce reliance on daily medication.
Most new patients are scheduled within the same week, and urgent cases (recent anaphylaxis, severe hives, poorly controlled asthma) are typically seen within 24 to 48 hours. Call or book online and we’ll confirm same business day.

Patient Stories
What Our Patients Have To Say
I see Dr. Zambrano at the office in Houston but have been going to get my shots at this Richmond location for a few months now. At both locations the staff have been friendly and helpful! I'm a chicken when it comes to needles but the nurses are so good and naturally calming and sweet. They know and remember their patients, which is an additional touch.

★★★★★I have been a patient of Dr. Yongxin Chen for over 15 years, and he truly deserves 10 stars!! I will drive across the city if needed to see him, as he is an excellent allergist, who worked to find the source of my allergy symptoms, and developed a treatment plan, which has greatly improved my health and quality of life.

★★★★★Since starting treatment, I’ve seen a huge improvement in both my allergies and asthma. The office staff is also kind, professional, and efficient. It’s rare to find a provider who blends medical expertise with genuine compassion, but Dr. Chen absolutely does.

★★★★★Dr. Meng has been treating my daughter's allergies since we first discovered them when she was 18 months old. He has supported us throughout the entire process, and I cannot thank him enough for his expertise and guidance. If you suffer from allergies, I highly recommend Dr. Meng.

★★★★★Dr. Kelley and his staff are amazing! They are always so friendly and welcoming. Dr. Kelley is very knowledgeable and always willing to take the time to listen and help. My daughter and I both have seen Dr. Kelley for years and we cannot imagine ever going to see any other doctor. Thank you so much for always going the extra mile! Highly recommend Dr. Kelley for both adult and pediatric patients.
