Dr. Kelley has roots in Houston where he was born and raised, attended high school at Strake Jesuit and college at the University of St. Thomas. After studying abroad in France and receiving his degree in Business Administration, he decided to pursue his dream of becoming a physician and attended the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. He went on to complete his Pediatric internship and residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston where he also served as Chief Resident and Assistant Professor. During his Allergy and Immunology Fellowship at the University of Texas Medical Branch, he presented at national meetings and published research on RSV Bronchiolitis.
A true Houstonian through and through, Dr. John P. Kelley was born and raised in Houston, attended Strake Jesuit College Preparatory, and went on to earn his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas โ including a formative period of study abroad in France. Inspired to pursue medicine, he enrolled at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston, where he earned his medical degree.
Dr. Kelley then distinguished himself during his postgraduate training at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston, where he not only completed his Pediatric internship and residency but also rose to serve as both Chief Resident and Assistant Professor โ a dual honor reflecting his exceptional clinical and academic abilities. He went on to complete his Allergy and Immunology Fellowship, also at UTMB, where he was recognized for his research contributions on RSV Bronchiolitis and presented his findings at national conferences.

Dr. Kelley is board certified in Allergy and Immunology and holds the distinguished Fellow designation from the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (FACAAI). He is affiliated with HCA Houston Healthcare West and Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital, and accepts most major commercial insurance plans.
Dr. Kelley provides specialized care for both children and adults across a broad spectrum of allergic and immunological conditions. He has particular expertise in food and drug allergies, environmental allergies, and venom hypersensitivity.
