Dr. Tarah Talakoub is a native Texan, born and raised in Beaumont, TX, who has built an exceptional career at the intersection of academic medicine and compassionate patient care. With dual board certifications and fellowship training at one of the country’s premier academic medical centers, she brings a rigorous scientific foundation and a deeply personal commitment to allergy and immunology practice in the greater Houston area.
Dr. Talakoub’s mission is to provide her patients โ both pediatric and adult โ with a warm, welcoming environment in which to learn and understand their medical concerns, and then together formulate a plan that works best for their lives. She is currently practicing in Pearland and Clear Lake, accepting patients of all ages with allergic disease, chronic sinusitis, asthma, food allergies, atopic dermatitis, allergic skin disorders, immune system disorders, and more.

Dr. Talakoub has demonstrated a strong commitment to research throughout every stage of her medical career. Prior to medical school, she contributed to groundbreaking cancer research at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, assisting in ongoing work around the CA-125 biomarker โ a critical tool in the early detection of ovarian cancer with a long history of development at MD Anderson.
During her Internal Medicine Residency in Fort Worth, she collaborated on and presented multiple case studies at regional and state conferences, earning the prestigious Best Case Study Award at the 61st Annual Texas Osteopathic Medical Association (TOMA) Midwinter Conference in Dallas, TX.
During her Allergy & Immunology Fellowship at UCLA / VA Greater Los Angeles, Dr. Talakoub continued her active involvement in research, presenting multiple posters at both the ACAAI and AAAAI annual scientific meetings.
