Allergy & Asthma Clinic in Spring, TX

If you live in Spring, TX — from Klein and Champions Forest to Augusta Pines, Gleannloch Farms, Old Town Spring, or the neighborhoods along the Grand Parkway — you already know that the dense pine forests and rolling oak canopies that make this part of North Houston so beautiful are also responsible for some of the worst pollen counts in the state. Our allergy and asthma clinic in Spring provides expert, board-certified care for patients across 77373, 77379, 77386, 77388, and 77389. We help families and adults get to the root cause of chronic congestion, sneezing, itchy eyes, recurring sinus infections, and difficult-to-control asthma.

Our Mission

We offer the full range of allergy testing at our Spring location, including environmental skin prick testing, food allergy testing, drug and antibiotic allergy testing (including penicillin de-labeling), insect venom testing, and patch testing for contact dermatitis. Most testing is completed in a single visit, and results are reviewed with you the same day so you can leave with a clear understanding of your triggers and an actionable plan. For patients who want long-term relief without daily medication, we provide allergen immunotherapy (allergy shots) customized to the specific tree, grass, weed, mold, and animal allergens common to the Spring and Klein area.

Asthma care is a core part of what we do. The unique mix of high humidity, pine pollen, mold, cedar fever in winter, and air-quality fluctuations along the I-45 corridor makes Spring a tough environment for anyone with reactive airways. We perform in-office pulmonary function testing (spirometry), FeNO measurement, and oscillometry when appropriate, then use that data to choose the right controller therapy — not just guess. For patients with severe asthma, eosinophilic asthma, or asthma that overlaps with nasal polyps or chronic sinusitis, we offer biologic therapies including Dupixent, Xolair, Nucala, Fasenra, and Tezspire, all administered on-site by our nursing team.

FAQs

Common Questions

Pine pollen is one of the most visible (it coats cars yellow each spring), but oak and ash actually trigger more symptoms. Bermuda and Johnson grass dominate summer, ragweed and pigweed take over fall, and mountain cedar drifts in from Central Texas every winter. Year-round, mold spores (Alternaria, Cladosporium) and dust mites stay elevated because of Houston’s humidity. A simple skin test at our Spring office can identify exactly which of these you react to.

Yes. Our allergists are trained to evaluate and treat infants, toddlers, school-age children, and teens. Common reasons families bring children in include suspected food allergies (especially peanut, milk, and egg), eczema, asthma, recurrent ear and sinus infections, and environmental allergies. We use age-appropriate testing methods and explain everything in language families can follow.

Immunotherapy doesn’t ‘cure’ allergy in a black-and-white sense, but it is the only treatment that modifies the underlying immune response — meaning many patients experience long-term relief that continues even after shots are completed. Most patients in our Spring practice see significant improvement within 6 to 12 months, with full benefit over a 3- to 5-year course. We also offer sublingual immunotherapy (drops or tablets) for select allergens for patients who cannot do injections.

Often both, but the allergist is usually the better starting point. Most adults with recurrent sinusitis have an underlying allergic or immunologic driver — allergies, nasal polyps, or in some cases an antibody deficiency. We can test for all of these. If structural surgery becomes necessary, we co-manage with trusted ENT colleagues in the Spring and Woodlands area.

Yes. We administer all FDA-approved biologics for asthma, chronic sinusitis with nasal polyps, eczema, chronic urticaria, and EoE in our Spring office. Our team handles prior authorizations and specialty pharmacy coordination so you don’t have to chase paperwork.

You can call directly or request an appointment through our website. Most new patients are seen within 5 to 7 days, and we accept most major commercial insurance plans, Medicare, and many Houston-area HMO and PPO networks.
