Education & Training

Dr. Bloebaum earned in Bachelor of Science in biological sciences from Purdue University in 1997—securing his loyalty as a lifelong Boilermaker. He was honored with an early acceptance and matriculation into Indiana University School of Medicine. He graduated with his Doctorate of Medicine from IU in 1997. He continued his educational journey in New York City at Beth Israel Medical Center, an Albert Einstein University affiliated program. Dr. B completed his internship and residency there in 2001.

Finally, he was able to come to Texas, dedicating one year to asthma and allergy-related research in the lab of Dr. Rafael Alam. The next two years he spent in clinical training at UTMB to complete his allergy and immunology studies. Since 2004, he has been improving the lives of people with allergies as a physician with Southwest Asthma and Allergy Associates.

Dr. Bloebaum is certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and is currently accepting new patients. He has been in practice for more than 20 years, bringing extensive clinical expertise to patients throughout the Houston metropolitan area.

Dr. Bloebaum specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of asthma and other allergic diseases, and is trained and certified to treat each patient’s sensitivity and response to allergens of varying severity. He frequently sees patients for:
