Applying the Patch Tests
Small amounts of selected substances are placed on patches and applied to your skin, usually on your back. These patches stay in place for a set period of time. The standard patch testing is 48 hours on the skin, with readings usually at 48 and 72–96 hours. You will receive simple instructions on keeping the area dry and undisturbed during this time.
Follow-Up Skin Evaluation
We remove the patches during your scheduled follow-up visit and carefully check your skin for any reactions. Our team looks for redness, swelling, or other changes, including any reactions that might occur later.
